FERME Certification in Sanitation & Safety
Over 3,000 Inspections Per Year
Did you know that our building inspectors carry out more than 3,000 farm inspections each year in Quebec to ensure the safety and sanitary conditions of farms that employ foreign workers?
The Foundation for the Recruitment of Foreign Agricultural Labor Enterprises, better known by its acronym FERME, was founded in 1989.
In addition to its recruitment services, FERME has developed a range of complementary services that greatly simplify employers’ operations, including:
- Housing inspections by accredited inspectors
- Interpretation and translation services
- Training, consulting, and professional support
The non-profit organization has mandated us to handle its health and safety division because we are the largest building inspection company in Quebec, with teams present throughout the province.
A Strict Protocol
For nearly 35 years, this non-profit organization—funded exclusively by its members—has addressed the hiring and support needs of temporary foreign workers for its members in the agri-food sector.
FERME has always placed great importance on the quality of housing provided to temporary workers. FERME accorde une importance capitale à la qualité des logements offerts aux travailleurs temporaires.
At Inspec-Thor Inc., we enforce strict housing evaluation standards to ensure that FERME member businesses comply with the organization's rigorous housing protocol.
